Beginner questions
Hello everyone I'm new to the scene here so I just have some questions I have a GC loader that I got from Black dog tech and that's all installed with its new shell but I'm wondering if I need to get an sd2sp2 to go along with it? I have a 128 GB micro SD card that I had initially assumed would just be able to plug into the slot and play all the games and such but I've been looking at the sd2sp2 and I'm wondering if I need to get it. I had planned to get a very large memory card to be able to save games natively. Also other than that when I need to get anything else? Finally I'm sure it's probably posted in the Swiss software side but with what I have now am I able to load anything at all or will I not be able to play anything until I get an sd2sp2 if needed? Thanks!!
Re: Beginner questions
In this scenario, I don't recommend it. If you had Qoob, like me, or something similar, it would be a great "plan b" in case the loader stops working.jackmulcahy124 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 2:39 am Hello everyone I'm new to the scene here so I just have some questions I have a GC loader that I got from Black dog tech and that's all installed with its new shell but I'm wondering if I need to get an sd2sp2 to go along with it? But...
If you're using a card larger than 128GB, you could split the data and reduce frustration if something happens. I think it's unlikely that two cards would stop working at the same time. And it would take less time to transfer everything again.
I don't know what country you live in. But the option above could be very valid depending on the price of the cards.
