CleanRip v1.0.4
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
very nice app. Just dumping a few games and noticed there seems to be an issue if wii network is not on. Tried with 2 games and gave the same results.
1 - could not identify GC or Wii disc
2 - when i continued said could not make file xxxxxx1360discpart1.iso (something similar to that with xxxx being wierd characters)
When i plugged in my USB wifi and put wii online the app worked perfectly identifying and dumped both games perfectly, not 100% sure but i recall hearing it may be an issue with ios58 & AHBPROT
edit: this was what i was referring to about AHBPROT issues - http://bugs.hackmii.com/index.php?do=de ... ask_id=376
i will try and compile with latest libogc and check, since i noticed libogc 1.8.4 had "async network init fixed"
edit2: ok compiled with latest libogc and that issue is now gone, although i did get 1 or 2 code dumps on disc initializing if there was already a disc in drive

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
all hbc/ahbprot related imho (although latest libogc would've solved some minor other bugs with fat/usb I suppose)
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
emu you think your gonna do any more work on clean rip?
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
Call me a dump... but how does exactly the clean rip works? Does it play games on some sort of loader... or they are images to be burned on a dvd...thanks in advance
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
Cleanrip doesn't play games - it creates images from DVD's.

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
first of all i love cleanrip
i ripped one of my games into 3gb chunk,
i successfully got 2 files, part 1 and part 2 both iso files that add up to 4.37gb and i think thats the correct size
I tried burning both files in an imgburn project and did not work file size was over the limit
i tried to join them with hjsplit but it says file not found, i have tried to rename the files in different ways but it will not read them
im running windows 7, can anyone help me joining these two files

Open CMD and type:
copy /b part1.iso + part2.iso game.iso
copy /b part1.iso + part2.iso game.iso

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
I cant mount my USB device. Im using a hotdrive 80g mobile 2.5 HDD. Its Fat32 formatted and i can run SNES9x VBAGX, and FCE UltraGX roms from it without many problems. Im using HBC 1.0.8 (the latest i believe) with IOS58 and CleanRip 1.0.4
Love the idea of this app, would love to see it in action.

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
You seem to have a lot of USB related issues, try a smaller USB drive perhaps. Wii64 doesn't support usb2.0 through ios58 yet since the compiled public version is quite old.

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
my 8gb Thumbdrive worked great.
Also is there somewhere i can find more information on the dual layer option, the max chunk size option, and the different device per chunk option?

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
I am a ClenRip first time user. I am trying to back up my wii game. I have a two GB SD card. I ran CleanRip and I received the following files:
Nintendo - Wii (20110422 20-24-27).dat
R5WEA4.bca
R5WEA4.part0.iso
RMGE01.bca
RMGE01.part0.iso
What is the next step? Do I burn these files to a dvd?
Thanks for the info

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
CleanRip only rips discs. The next step is entirely up to you.
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
that's just it I don't know the next step. What are my options. (I'm trying to make a back up copy of my game.)
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
The .bca files are required for next to nothing. You need them for New Super Mario Bros when using certain modchips, and can also be used by some usb loaders. But since usb loaders can fix the protection of the game another way, you don't need them.
You want to burn the .iso, and before you can do that, you need to join your 2 parts to one .iso file.

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
Do I need the .dat file for anything? I was able to burn the iso to disc, but when I put in my wii it says disc error. any ideas? I also noticed redump.org is not working. Are there any alternatives?

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
hello emu_kidid, is it possible to make a cleanrip that saves the extracted data (like discex) to the usb/sd instead of creating an ISO file?
EDIT: I think its a possible way to inspire new users for SNEEK/UNEEK.

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
Thanks for the great utility!
Been having some trouble with CleanRip v1.0.4 using IOS58. The first Wii disc ripped to my NTFS drive with no problems. However, ever since then CleanRip either reports that it cannot find the NTFS partition or hangs. It will recognize the partition as soon as I disconnect the USB cable, but then cannot reconnect when it is plugged back in. Seems to work backing up to SD.
My drive is 1TB with three partitions - two FAT32 for Wii system/NAND and one big NTFS partition for games/storage. No problem using the drive with Wiiflow/HBC/etc..., which suggests that the Wii has no problem seeing it.
Any suggestions?

Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
I'm trying to use CleanRip 1.0.4, the version that fixes the 'Motor Off' problem, to rip a GC disc onto a 4gb ntfs usb drive. Halfway through it keeps saying 'No seek complete". Why is it doing this?
Re: CleanRip v1.0.4
GC version needs text adjustment for 4:3 crt.
