I'm from NZ and have been following the forums for a number of months now.
Retro gaming is an interest of mine and I have a collection of mainly Nintendo handhelds and systems including ~300 original games.
The Gamecube stands as a favorite of mine as I was in my teens at the time of launch, it introduced me to many great Nintendo franchises as it was my first experience with Metroid, Zelda and Mario.
Currently I have 6 Gamecubes - 1 Purple PAL system from NZ, 1 Orange NTSC J system, 3 Black NTSC J system and Char's customized box gamecube with matching wavebird from my times in Japan.
I want to build a really good Gamecube setup, unfortunately NZ runs 230-240 50hz power so the Panasonic Q isn't a good option here:
- NTSC-J Gamecube (Orange and Char's)- DONE
Gameboy player (Orange, Char's and Indigo)- DONE
GBA everdrive - DONE
Hori gameboy player controller - TO DO
HDMI adaptor (Carby) - DONE
Wavebird x 4 (2 grey, 1 silver and 1 Char's model) - DONE
Drive replacement (meneerbeer's project)- DONE
When in Japan recently I tried tracking down the Hori gameboy player controller but had no luck. I'm not willing to pay Ebay prices, so i have purchased a Raphnet SNES mini / Wii nunchuck to Gamecube adapter and it with the SN30 Pro G controller from 8Bitdo.
Great to come across some many people passionate about this system.
