memory card ports are getting slower O.o

I have my gamecube for about 8~10 years now, but when I try to load a DOL file it takes age to load from slot B and was fast in slot A but both are really slow now.
any way to fix this?

try another Gamecube/SD/SDGecko to confirm it's not your SD Card

already did that and loads fast on the gamecube of my cousin :S

i have noticed my memory card port getting slower too swiss takes longer to boot than it used to its not unbearable yet but i want to avoid getting to that point. how long does urs take to load a dol anyways dragoon?

oh. Swiss DID get slower at booting stuff from r24 onwards (only in Swiss, in games it should be un-effected) - this was a result of changing the FAT library.

it takes 30 sec around max now, and most take around 15 sec to load :S (this is not only with swiss)
