old modder new to gamecubes.

Hello all. I've been tinkering with my game systems since I can remember. First just cosmetically, then when I got into electronics I started doing hardware mods. I've done xboxs, ps2/ps1, wii's, psp, nes, snes, saturn, turboduos. I'm in the process of consolizing a mvs one slot board. I've never built a portable or messed with a gamecube so here I am. I currently built a xenogc clone(which isn't working properly at the moment. I'm thinking wiring) and would like to try my hand at making a disc-less cube. Maybe a portable cube, I would like to just sit in bed at night while my wife sleeps and game out 
I'm here to learn the ways of the gamecube and share my experiences. My electronics knowledge is limited to a two year degree in computer and electronic engineering.
