will this give me 480p output??







if not, how can this be reverted back to a comopnent cable, how difficut is it?

- open the scart connector (that thing on the left), desolder all 7 connections (red, blue, green, 3 grounds and 12v)
- put away the analogue output lead (that thing in the middle)
- buy three cinch plugs, solder the them to the cables (red, green and blue) and corresponding grounds, ignore the 12v cable
- open the digital output connector (that thing on the right), remove the wire or resistor (depends on what was used) from the MX chip and bend and resolder the leg to the pcb

that sounds incredibly complicated, ill see if i can find someone competent to do it locally
can i not get 480p from the cable as it is?

what is the point of destroying a component cable in the first place?

get a scart to component cable and you'll be set

But this only works for NTSC Cubes?
Or also with PAL Cubes?

This is not complicated at all and will cost you 30 minutes of your time, even if you are not good at soldering.

im getting 2 cubes modded with xeno gc, i believe i will need a swiss disc to do sdhc card loading, or can the swiss be loaded from sdhc?

is this ok for what i want to do??

Since you are installing a Xeno GC, just burn the SWISS ISO for your region inside of the swiss archive. This adapter will work.

can the swiss not be put on the sdhc card?

You can put it there, but this will not help you, because it will not boot itself from there
You will need something to load swiss, like your DVD drive with a Xeno GC installed.

I don't know for sure if a proper loader ISO for a specified file on a memory card slot exists, but I don't think so.

so how would i play my games if theres a swiss disc in the cube, do i have to do disc swaps???

Oh, I thought you want to boot the games from SD card. I never booted swiss from DVD, but I think swapping the disc after booting swiss will work without problems.

Yes. With the WKF you also have almost perfect SD backup compatibility. Except for audio streaming which will be muted (very few games use this).

what is audio streaming?

A feature of the DVD drive that allows playing back a compressed variant of pcm called adpcm. The drives decodes it from the disc and sends it straight to the DSP.

apologies, could you explain what is pcm and dsp

Pcm is the codec used on audio CDs. DSP means digital signal processor and these are often used as sound cards like in the GC, and in PCs too.

I don't think so. Look at the wiki, everything is explained there.

SD gecko requires some type of software to allow GC to load "anything" from SD...
the software loader you need is swiss on dvd...once in swiss menu you can access your SD card...

if you want to load GC titles from disc, just put them in the drive and let xeno boot them...
