Force the game to save in Memory card b slot.
Hi, i play with sd media launcher and i've notice that certain game freeze if i put the sd in Memory card b.
I know that the slot a is faster than b and that you can't save in SD.
(I use the last Swiss ad homebrew).
Thanks.

Slot A isn't faster. It would be better to fix the problems you're having with your SD card in slot B than redirecting memory card access.
Re: Force the game to save in Memory card b slot.
I guess it's possible games could freeze when they find something in a memory card slot that is not a memory card.
Can't say I've heard of it happening though.

You should always use a memory card that matches the mode the system is in, or games won't be able to use it.
Re: Force the game to save in Memory card b slot.
If the card is the wrong region the game will normally prompt to format it. There are a few games with bugs that cause them to crash while formatting.
Re: Force the game to save in Memory card b slot.
Normally the memory card region is decided by the console, not the game. You should swap memory card each time you toggle a region switch.PavelHarstkt wrote:Thanks for the answer, i'll report It immediatly.

Anything like a modchip that forces imports to run *without* changing the system region complicates it. Most games don't care and will save/load fine enough to be playable (even though the data gets stored on different region memory card than they're intended for). But a few games have actual problems saving when played on the wrong region console.

We still don't even know what game it is you're trying. There's no way we can help you. We need all the information asked in that compatibility thread.

Game
Super Mario Sunshine.
Region
NTSC
Medium
Sd Gecko
Swiss version
0.4 r424
Sorry, you are right.
I use also a Pal versione of the game but the result was the same.
I have the same problem with Mario kart, during the gameplay It freeze. For Smash Bros there isn't any problem, i play It for a while but never freeze.

There's no problem with Mario Kart as far as I can remember. SMS should also run smoothly but it does lose audio after a while. Smash barely accesses the disc during gameplay. This all sounds like you have a bad SD card or adapter, try putting tape under the PCB, setting SD speed to compatible and using a different card (one at a time).
