Re: Gamecube component cable

Does the MEGAudio come with the optical connector? If I'm thinking correctly, all I'll have to do is solder a connection from the appropriate DATA/BCK/LRCK/GND/5V traces of the component chip and it should be good to go?

Re: Gamecube component cable

Well to be fair, there is only 1 person on the audio only sign up list up front with 9 open slots. I guess the same applies though maybe? I dunno

Re: Wavebird Rumble Mod?

Nice dude! Totally put it in perspective for me, sorry I get excited and scatterbrained. This is fun to think about. Hmm, does this missing IC spot on the pcb look suspicious? Or maybe you guys already have an idea for what it's functions is/was? edit: I should probably cite the pictures source . ht...

Re: Wavebird Rumble Mod?

Oh dang, you think so? It seems like it's pretty packed to me. The rumble motor spot is taken up by the antennae thing but I guess that can be moved. If I get bored this weekend I'll take a controller apart and see if I trace the rumble contact back to the IC. edit: Found this, maybe useful for late...

Re: Wavebird Rumble Mod?

Are the rumble motors present in the wavebird and just not activated? If not, is there even any space to pop 2 of them in?

Re: Gamecube component cable

That's clever thinking and redesign. Hmm, I'm going to have to consider this option now. Does this mean the audio only boards are all spoken for?

Re: Gamecube component cable

If still available and possible, could I be put on the audio board only list? I think I'm going to get my hands on a component cable soon and I'd like to just add the digital audio to it :)

Re: Gamecube component cable

Hmm, is it possible to program a PIC to be the same type of DAC as the B012355? Or is there something fundamentally different about the component chip? I guess the process isn't as easy as using a PIC programmer to dump the B012355 and use that dump on another chip? Sorry if it's a noob programming ...

Re: Gamecube component cable

I'm intrigued by the digital component cable deal/site if you'd be willing to share :) Right now my gamecube is hooked up to my Samsung ToC 240HD with an RF modulator/switch and my old nes rf to coax cable haha :/ I'm exploring the idea of a portable at the moment, I haven't thoroughly examined what...

Re: Gamecube component cable

Interesting. I recently found an intec portable monitor and, after seeing all the awesome projects here, I was thinking of putting together my own GC portable :) I'm not sure if the NEC screen that the intec portable comes with can be wired to accept a YPbPr signal but if it could then that would be...

Re: Gamecube component cable

^^^^^^^
Haahahaha, I know that feeling.

I have a weird question. I know that there are "D-terminal" game cube cables out there too, do they have the same chip as the component cables but are just wired differently?

Color issue with an Intec Gamecube screen GC-5271-C

I just picked up an intec gamecube screen that connects to the av and power port and also has a female power port to connect to an ac adapter or car charger. The screen seems to work great except that it only shows black and white. The brightness and sound can be adjusted but the color wheel does no...

Re: WiiU "hack"?!

Are the WiiU discs some sort of blu-ray? I was so upset to find out that the WiiU can't do movie playback. It would be so cool if the homebrew scene can bring the ability to play movies and, who knows, maybe blu-rays.

Re: Move over NGP.... Introducing the Gamecube Fusion!

Oh man, that is awesome!

Edit: I have a bit of a silly question about the screens in the portables. Do you notice any bit of lag? Is there an ideal screen everyone goes for that can display at 480p without lag? Cheers!

Re: Gamecube component cable

Wow! This is incredible. Count me in for one once available. I recently got a gamecube to play some metroid prime and was hoping to find something like this :)

Cheers!
