General

RawDump is a program developed for Windows based PCs which can dump Gamecube and Wii original optical media. It does so by using vendor commands on the following DVD Drives which allows the read error buffer to be dumped or similar. It only works with the following drives as they contain the specific vendor commands. The data comes through Raw from the drive (scrambled by the scrambling key) but RawDump determines the seeds on the fly to produce an unscrambled ISO.

A typical Wii dump may take up to 2 hours.

Dumping NR Discs with RawDump

If you have some NR discs, these can also be dumped via RawDump but you will need to perform a disc swap after having placed a non NR Gamecube/Wii disc in the drive first. NR are very similar however they use a different scrambling key (RawDump brute-forces to figure it out).
