There are several methods of booting homebrew on your GameCube:
- Datel's SD Media Launcher
- Offers out of the box homebrew support - always need the disc to boot it up. Comes with a flimsy SDGecko!
- Samson's AR loader
- Hard to set up, can be annoying to load homebrew, but great if you have the materials to set it up.
- Datel's Maxdrive Pro
- PSOload
- Requires an original copy of Phantasy Star Online Ep 1 & 2, and a BBA.
- A drivechip such as XenoGC or DuoQ with a bootable disk of SDLoad or Swiss
- Quick for booting backups and homebrew.
- A drive replacement like the Wiikey Fusion or WODE
- Very difficult to install, great for games, not so much for homebrew.
- A modchip such as Viper GC with SDLoad installed as plugin
- Quick to boot backups and homebrew.
- A modchip such as Viper GC Extreme with Swiss on flash
- Very quick to boot backups and homebrew.
- A modchip such as Qoob SX / Qoob Pro with SDLoad / Swiss on flash
- Very quick to boot backups and homebrew.
