Hi, sorry for my bad english...
How can I launch a NGC .dol file on the Wii?
I tried with the HBC, but it only supports Wii homebrews and not NGC's ....
Thanks

I'll buy o wode for my wii, and i dont want do to any softmod.
So, there's a way to boot GC-Homebrew withouth having to do a softmod? For example, booting SD Media Launcher backup disc?! (I heared there's a new model that nintendo didn't blocked)

Dont know about that, but you can use a SD gecko with an action replay disc to boot gc homebrew.

If you buy a wode, just make a bootable disc of sd-load, no need to pirate Datel junk :p

Great idea, thanks.
btw, is there a tutorial here in the forum about this? (Gonna search)
And is possible to load a wii homebrew withouth having to install anything and do softmod?
Humm, i didn't found the SD-Load here on GC-Forever, maybe someone can add it to the Dumpers/Loaders/Utilities?

I found a self boot disc of SDload. Just extract and burn it.
I dont have WODE or any modchip, will it work with the gamecube backup launcher?

Does anyone have the SD-Load Slot A and B version anywhere? (even a DOL would do).

the SDLoadAB.dol version works if you hold down A whilst it loads up to access the files on slot b, but I could never get the SD-Load Slot B.dol to work.

A great hack it was too

Now if only their was a way to dump memory code addresses to a sd card it'd be fixed as I don't have a bba to use GCNrd or GCARS your addition of the cheat engine in sd-boot was greatly appreciated

although it has some problems reading certain code lists, I mentined the bug on tehskeen not sure if you saw it before it went down.
If you do find the source to sdload, I only have one criticism of it and that is the short character length it displays for the filenames, it should span the whole black box length wise on each line inside the white border, I don't care to know the byte size of every file either.

Is there a ready to burn (or load in wode) version who looks to slot B?

Make a ISO/GCM with the version I upped burn it to a Camcorder Mini DVD-R or DVD-R, then hold A whilst it loads.
I can upload a premade ISO/GCM if you find it to difficult to make one, it's no bother.

Well, thanks!
I'll use it with the Nintendo Wii using the WODE.
Maybe only that version who auto loads the slot A will work?

Once you get a Wii there's not much point in running GC homebrew on it :p I've noticed the same. I only run GC homebrew on a GC these days.

Yes if you hold down A whilst it loads, I think WODE can load gc images off a usb device so using sd-boot kind of defeats the purpose.

Yes, you are wright, but i dont want it to load sd-boot, its for GC homebrew, like those emulators and so... cuz i dont want to do any softmod on my wii, who knows maybe nintendo decide to seek for them and brick your wii for real
Thanks!

regarding the second post about gc boot... i have tried to use that,as i cant use a disc because my drive have died, but i keep getting failed to load start.dol
i know i need a cMIOS, but the one included doesn't seem to boot and iv tried the others, (wiipower, waninkoko) and noting seems to work always getting failed to load start.dol
and advice as to what i may be missing?\
edit: found out that there was a bug in the gc home brew loader so i used an older version and it finally loaded.. but now i still cant use sd boot on my wii because the drive is completely dead.. o well sticking with the cube

This isn't working for the Wii!
I tryed with my WODE and it gives error in the Wii, and this .gcm is Japanese.
So, i found a solution. I donwloaded this version
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gc-l ... 2?download
It's a version hosted in the GC-Linux Project, it autoboots and looks for the Slot A. At least it works like a charm!
Oh my i needed to boot a Windows XP live cd to patch my SD card!
If someone could provide a working version for Slot B!
Thanks!!

I made that gcm with the X region prefix as I thought it was used for multi region support if you open it in a hexeditor check the first few bytes and change it to a E for USA and P for PAL that should make it valid instead of recognizing it as a japanese one which it stange in it's self since that uses J not X, I guess WODE sees it as being a currupt gcm or something.
