Trying to update an emulator...

I'm trying to update one of my GC emulators.
I formatted my memory card and copied the new SNES9GX files onto it.
I loaded the .dol file and it just pooped out on me.
After it gives me the 'Loading DVD...' screen it just freezes :/
Help me please :'(

What version did you put, what modchip do you have (if any), and what version did you used to have?

I have an SD media Launcher.
The first SNES emulator I got a while back ago worked fine (Snes9x GX 4.2.1 )
I just needed to configure the path and play.
But on the new one (Snes9x GX 4.2.8 - GameCube) the emulator just froze at the 'Loading DVD...' screen.
After the 'Loading DVD...' screen on the old one I remember it saying that the 'disk cannot be read' and then I could configure my ROMs path, but in this new one I can't since it freezes :(
