Single Game File is Too Fragmented
Hello,
I keep running into the an error only when launching Super Mario Sunshine on a GC Loader with a new 128 GB Sandisk SD Card on Swiss r1086.
It keeps saying “Failed to Set up the File (Too Fragmented?)”. The thing is that this is the ONLY game that does this. Everything else runs flawlessly.
I have reformatted the SD Card to both FAT32 and exFAT (though a varied of ways including DiskPart), copied 110 GB worth of ISOs one at a time, made my our back-up uncompressed and trimmed with nkit, use ISOs of Sunshine from sites with verified dumps uncompressed and nkit, only put the Swiss boot dol and Sunshine on the card, and defragmented the SD Card. Still get the same error.
Again, every other single game works flawlessly. Just Sunshine. At first, I thought it was just a bad dump, but everywhere I get the ISO. It never works. What am I missing?

Re: Single Game File is Too Fragmented
Check how many FAT fragments the file has. The data is irrelevant to this error.
The issue may also be with fragmentation on the patches device, if you have an SD card adapter.

How do I see how many fat fragments a single file has?
It is a full sized SD card.

An SD card adapter as in, the Nintendo GameCube SD Card Adapter, SD Gecko, SD2SP2, or WiiSD.

Oh. It is in a GCLoader on 1.1.2 firmware with an SD card extender with the LaserBear Mount.
Re: Single Game File is Too Fragmented
Yes, but do you have another SD card in an SD card adapter for Swiss functions?

Re: Single Game File is Too Fragmented
I do have a 4 GB micro SD card for a SD2SP2. I believe I have the Swiss settings saved there and use it for a virtual memory card.
Re: Single Game File is Too Fragmented
Please check for fragmentation there. Each patched file is written and loaded from there.

Yup that was it. The SD2SP2 card was fragmented. I deframented it and every works properly now. You are the best!
