Post by MeteK » Thu Nov 14, 2019 3:57 pm

Hello !

Is it possible to boot directly to a specific device on Swiss (ex: direct boot to sp2sd) ?

Without a hardmod, if you rely on a game exploit, the only way to run Swiss straight off an SD card in the SD2SP2 is to put either GBI or SWISS itself as boot.gci on the memory card with the exploit, as long as the dolaunchers (that can boot SWISS off an SD gecko) aren't updated/recompiled to support SD2SP2 and hopefully Exfat.

In the video linked in my signature, SWISS loads off the memory card, it needs 150 blocks to be stored there.

That's not what they're asking. They're asking about the default browsing device.

Oh, nice, I was wondering too, since when I boot SWISS from the SD2SP2 card, it opens the memcard A as default (When no SD Gecko is in Slot B).
It would make sense if SWISS would browse a volume with a filesystem as a default, with the one from where it booted as a priority, then, the memcards as a last resort.

Except we can't tell where we booted from.

It's time for a new option if a default config device is found, otherwise the default order dictates it.

for me, it depends on which Swiss review is started. almost all revisions take me to SP2 by default, even though the boot originated from slot B.
falls to SP2.

on some other Swiss, it fits in slot B.

An empty Gecko in the slot also seems to influence this ...
PS. Remember that tests performed with 0.4 r785 _ higher ... :geek:
