Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
On all emulators body harvest has an issue where you clip through object from bridges and walls, making the game unplayable on certain levels where you have to go up or cross a bridge recently the reasoning for this was found it has to do with the depth buffer and the culling method
basically of the depth buffer it needs to be G_CULL_BACK instead of the default G_Cull_front emulators use, this is one of the rares n64 exclusives that cant be played anywhere else but n64 and putting not64 to play this n64 exclusive game even some pc emulators cant would be amazing.
for some more info see here if you are interested, the game already runs full speed on wiiu with overclock

The underlying feature isn't currently emulated.
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
shame, this is one of those exclusives that are actualy great games, incase you didnt know this was made by the studio that made GTA series before it wasnt called rockstar but dma design, it was basically their first 3d openworld game before going for GTA 3 so its kinda a steeping stone
btw can something be done for turok3? game looks great and plays great sadly every 3 or 4 steps the vertices get loose on the screen making it very hard to play.

All I want for Christmas is an update to Not64.
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Hi, is this emulator still being worked on? Many games still doesn't work! and please use a more up to date video plugin like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12sJs30 ... SsGBX/view
It'll somewhat make a ton more games working!

If it was as easy as dropping in a Windows DLL, you could do it yourself.

You're right, but for example you could release an uncompressed APP version to update the checksums for the hacked roms in an easy way like is possible with the original WII64... Or at least reprogram the emulator to load the uncompressed checksums by an external INI file... And there are other plugins compatible, like rice WII64, isn't enough compatible with Cruis'n Exotica, but is an improving.
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Hey guys I have a question, what are the best settings to improve performance on this emulator? is there any?
I have tried 240p60 with VideoWidth = 0 (640), all filters and textures off, I think there isn't any improvement on the emulation, or am I wrong and the emulator actually improves (say, frame drops being much likely), I don't actually care sacrificing video and image quality if that improves the emulation, or the emulator will just drop frames anyways regardless of the chosen setting (for example 480p60 and VideoWidth = 5 (1440), with all textures and filters on, should technically lag more and more likely to drop frames?
Also when I set PixelClock to 2 the emulator just shows a black screen with nothing.
And does the CPU Clock Divider does what it's meant to do? I mean, in 1 equals Overclock, 2 is Normal Clock and 3 is Underclock?
Which gives more stability? Limit Speed to VI's or DL's?
In any case, I just want to play Super Smash Bros as smooth as possible without any lag, since frame drops messes a lot with timings, and thus, also messes with inputs.

I'd begun adding the Not64 changes into the official Wii64 repo at some point.Butterhands wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 6:56 pmThen you could use the source code of this Not64 to make another version, light like this? But maybe more customizable?

I agree! same goes for WiiSXR and the Homebrew community of the Wii U
Re: Not64 Second Edition - an Hybrid Heaven emulator
Enough with the whining and baseless accusations. The source code is on GitHub, if anyone wants fork it and continue working on it, feel free to start a new thread.
