Maybe your games run well off SD, if this is the case, you won't have to switch discs, just have to backup your games on the SD in a SD Gecko or WiiSD.
I understand now why you want a modchip, but if you can't get one to work, hope the SD backup will do just fine.

Re: What modcip works in panasonic q?
Do the region switch first, get a US copy of Wind Waker, maybe a WiiSD too, then see if getting a chip is worth it. WW is not cheap these days, but maybe the faster exploit, there are some other exploitable games that are less sought for, 007AUF for example, but while the hack will only take 3 block...

Re: Flakey dvd drive
I know laser fail is comon on the GC, but try first to pull dust out with a very soft and clean paint brush, blow it with air in can, then, check for the grease along the full stroke of the lens on its worm screw and guide. If you get no better result, then you may adjust the laser power by lttle st...

Re: What modcip works in panasonic q?
The zone is already the required one, so better then debating for hours if it should or shouldn't work, it is just about slapping a disc into that Q, to check if Pal DVDs will playback on it. It will just work, or won't, but this won't harm the hardware anyway, we'll then definitely know. :P ...

Re: What modcip works in panasonic q?
For the DVD video Playback, aren't you in the european Zone 2?
Japan is in that zone too, so it should just work.
Isn't that good news?

Re: Gameboy Player ROM issues
Hi, something must be wrong with your memory cards setup. 1: You should be able to run GBI from the same memory card as SWISS. 2: You should be able to run the GBP Startup Disc ISO dump from it as well. 3: You should be able to launch the GBP Startup Disc Backup DVD too. Do you run SWISS from a Memo...

Re: I finally bought a Gamecube!!!
Welcome, if you want to lenghten the laser life, you can use SWISS as much as possible, and run most of your games' backups off an SD card. You can also try to clean the lens the better and step the laser adjustment down the lower possible before it can't boot (and run your games that won't work fro...

Re: What modcip works in panasonic q?
The gamecube motherboard in the Panasonic Q is essentially the same as in a regular Dol-001 Gamecube. So any GC modchip should do, and the solder pads are not differently placed, making guides for the GC still valid for the Q. If you do the region switch, the Q will act as a NTSC-US GC, thus format ...

Re: BBA Cloning
There are some Ethernet and Wifi devices designed to work in SPI mode with Arduinos, Raspis and other trending SBCs that are basically a MCS core and a dedicated communication core packed in one chip. Some of them may be reprogrammed to support the specific protocol that the GameCube and BBA use. Or...

Long time French Zelda player new there.
Hi, my parents not beeing that much fond of technology, I entered the Video Game world quite late, with the Gameboy for '92 Christmas, and had to play only Tetris for one year then got Link's Awakening next Christmas. From there began a high addiction to adventure games, and espescially Zelda ones. ...

Hi there, what's wrong with the GC, what did lead you to think U11 doesn't work?
Does the mainboard suffers from moist, dirt or electrolyte leaks?

Re: GREETINGS TO EVERYONE FROM PERU
Hello, and welcome here. I assume you're new to board/forum posting, so I have to inform you that writing in capitals implies you are speaking loud, meaning you may be angry or something. People often just ignore users posting in whole capital letters. Also, take care of sentence structure, since th...

Re: Newbie PAL Gamecube questions. Please help!
Hello, I will try to answer my best, as a Pal-native player, since I came across the same questions as you. 1. This question can be understood in many different ways, so to clarify, playing games from any region on any region GC would look the same when in 480lines provided the game is 480lines (60H...
