Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme

I don't think anyone has a running Swiss in Viper flash at the moment.
I have SDload in the Viper flash and then load Swiss from the SD card. Works but quite a long process before you get to run a game.
Also SDload does not support SDHC so I'm stuck with 1 or 2 games max on the SD card.

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme

Next problem: swiss now starts from flash about 1 in 5 times. 4 out of 5, I get a green screen. The green screen appears right after selecting the swiss dol. I sometimes also get the green screen with no memory card or gecko connected, so it is not related to the SD card. I have the impression that ...

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme

Swiss is now loaded on my viper flash and working !
The key was the use of d0llz 2.0 instead of 3.0.
So apparently 2.0 is able to uncompress and recompress with the viper option.
3.0 just crashes on swiss-lz.dol r33.

(no more need to upload 2.0, I found it on eurasia)

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme

With cobramanager you can flash a new bios (not what you need now) but you can also put dol files on the flash file system. Then you can use "explorer" in the cobra menu to start the dol file.
A VGC file is a bios file, not the same as a dol.

Ok, I can load Swiss now. Viper GC extreme with Cobra 2.1 and Sdload A+B as plugin. SDGecko in Slot B. Then load Swiss from SD and boot Paper Mario Pal. What I did wrong before ? I formatted the sd in FAT32. After I formatted in FAT (16) things started to work but I guess that is because Sdload is i...

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme

Thanks but both cobramanager.exe and the old viperflasherusb10.exe say "file too big". I am currently running "Cobra 2.1 with SDLoad A & B.vgc" which I found on this forum. I even went back to Cobra 1.2 and tried the Bios upgrade again but still too big. This is on "Vipe...

Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme

Posting here because I was posting in the wrong section. Using Gamecube with Viper Extreme USB and Cobra 2.1 BIOS. I have been trying to load Swiss for the last 3 evenings but I can get it to load. I have put swiss-lz.dol on the Viper flash but then the GC hangs on the "Running DOL file" s...

Liquitt,
I think I read around here that you got it working somehow or was that on another non-Viper GC or Wii ?
Thanks !

Re: Announcing Swiss - The "Swiss Army Knife" of GC software

Using Gamecube with Viper Extreme USB. I am trying to put the Swiss DOL on the Vipers flash system. Usually, DOL files need to be patched for the Viper with the dollz3.exe -V parameter. However the Swiss download contains a file swiss-lz.dol which (going by the -lz) I assume has already been compres...
