Re: DOS emulator?
Guys of Retroarch are developing a dosbox core but, though we can already run .exe with nxengine, I doubt they are interested in porting the dosbox core to the gamecube because of lack of ram and blah blah. It is sad because it would be pretty cool. Uh, you do know that NXEngine is just for Cave St...

Re: Not64 - an experimental modification
While we're talking about porting plugins... Extrems wrote "Rewrite RSP using Paired Singles". Will this mean more ucodes thus more games and working sound on the "Eurocom 5". 007TWINE Hydro Thunder, Gauntlet, Tarzan, Rugrats. I only ask because there may be a much easier way. P...

Re: wii Mini
Since it has a single USB port, couldn't you just use one of those Wii LAN adapters and go online through that?

Re: Swiss 0.3
I hate to sound like a broken record, but since my question was never addressed: what are the plans for IDE-EXI support in Swiss for the future?
Re: Swiss 0.3
Congratulations on getting another version out! Any news on the IDE-EXI DMA firmware update?

Re: CleanRip Mod
I had to compile CleanRip back in February too. In my case using the latest devkitPPC versions made a huge difference in USB compatibility. Before CleanRip wouldn't recognize my USB hard drive at all, afterwards it always worked flawlessly and I was able to rip my entire Wii library.
Great job!

Re: Dol file from a memory card?
I'm assuming you have no other means of launching GameCube homebrew yet, and you want to use something like this instead? Theoretically, it is possible, but I don't think it's something that is just readily available for you out of the box. You'd need an exploitable game and a modified save file on ...

Re: I Need Tutorial with N64 Emulators
These use Nintendo's emulator used on the Master Quest bonus disc. Apart from Cube64/Wii64 (which is based on Mupen64 IIRC) and Nintendo's own emulators, there are no other emulators available. Good luck basing a project on Project64 1.6 source code, if 1.4 is the most recent source code publicly av...

I wonder if it would help with games that have lag, such as the PAL version of Super Monkey Ball running in 60Hz on expert level 17.

Not to mention he's talking about the Wii U making the Wii and this emulator obsolete... on a website dedicated mainly to a console that predates the Wii.

You guys do realize that AFAIK all GameCube games contain these strings, even games released in 2004 and later? I guess it's just part of the official SDK.

Re: Brawl character textures without installing homebrew?
Couldn't you use LetterBomb to launch Riivolution/Gecko OS instead of the HackMii installer? That way nothing gets installed on your Wii, but I do wonder why you don't want to mod your Wii?

Re: Porting Twilight hack to Gamecube...Possible?
But nobody's been talking about a Wii here at all! They want to use this to launch Gamecube homebrew on a Gamecube.
I'm willing to bet the same buffer overflow is in the Gamecube version of the game too, so maybe it is possible to port it over.

Re: Wii ISO Booter for GC
The Wii has 88MB of memory available. The Gamecube has only 43MB. This is memory that Wii games expects to be there. You can't use memory that simply is not there. The Gamecube also lacks the ARM9 CPU core that is in charge of running the IOS, so we'd have to use the Gamecube's main CPU to emulate t...
