The GameCube has much sharper Component output via the digital port (well a slight improvement at least) You can play LAN on the GC and PSO via a cable via than wireless (cus' wires are just too cool) Also the GameCube has a cooler name soooo. I mean common, your gonna play with your little Wii Wii ...
My advice to you is just to be very careful. I have bought about three (two different sites) and they are all fake duplicates. It seems like real chips are almost impossible to get now. I don't have a site I can recommend, just be aware that it is a pretty good chance that it will be fake. Mabey ask...
Sorry for double posting ;) I managed to fix the damn thing by using the original computer from which I flashed from. It's weird how a mac with a vm of windows worked and not my own windows 7 pc haha. Thanks for all the help emu_Kidd :D And for anyone reading this post for troubleshooting. If you ac...
I see. Well I Reinstalled the Win7 drivers from the ViperGC thread on my Windows 7 PC however when i boot up ViperFlasherUSB10 It still erases the chip and then says "writting" but dose not make any progression. I had a look at my fcc flat cable and it looks kind of busted, perhaps that co...
No go, have tried a Windows 7 and Windows 8 computer and all the different dip switch combinations. I think it might have something to do with the drivers as it erases the chip and the gets stuck on "writing"
So just as I posted about getting .cod cheat files to work on my Viper. Here we have another post about the damn chip not even booting into cobra. I tried to flash Cobra 1.0 on the chip however something happen and now whenever i boot up my GameCube the light on the chip comes on and the USB adapter...
Hey guys, I have been trying to get cheat codes working on my Viper GC Extreme via .cod files. I tried putting a couple in the Viper Flash however they did not active or do anything at all.
Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, Quake III, Grand Theft Auto III/VC/SA, Conker Live and Reloaded, Ratchet and Clank 1/2/3, Final Fantasy 10, Phantasy Star Online Episode 4, Seaman (Dreamcast ver.), Unreal Tournament, Halo CE/2 and much more!
Well Finally..... (Version 0.2) Here is a shot of the modified splash screen shown before you connect to the internet: http://i.imgur.com/a2RAuNa.png And as requested... Right... I am still not sure what the best option would be for getting the best video signal out of the gamecube. I am fully aware of the differences between RF, Composite, S-Video, RGB Scart and Component cables for the gamecube and I know that Gcvideo is a thing but I just wanted to get an opinion...
Hmm ok, that seems like a good idea. Yes it's outdated and I know the gamecube might not be able to handle quite a lot of websites due to older technology, but it would still be pretty neat. Meanwhile the Dreamcast has about 4 or 5 different web browsers :P Thanks for the information, I'm going to s...
Hey, so I was just wondering if there was a way to somehow modify the Phantasy Star Online web browser so that it can go to any web address. I'm going to have a look at the contents of the disc myself but if you guys have any information, that would be great! It would be pretty cool to be able to bo...
Yeah I thought so.
I guess considering DOL's can be launched straight off sdload, it's proably a better idea to utilise them I suppose.
One thing that would be great to have though is some sort of Usb/bba plugin that allows you to turn the Viper Usb adapter into a temporary bba for PSO.
Today I finally installed my Viper extreme that I was lucky enough to buy on ebay some time ago.
I was just wondering if anyone could send me some cobra plugins as I'm having a lot of fun messing around with the viper. I can't find any plugins apart from sdload and the mp3player at the moment.
Hey guys, decided this weekend I might mod my gamecube with the Viper Gc Extreme that I was lucky to buy off of eBay sometime ago, and I came across the packaging, which in my opinion looks exactly the same as the plastic my Xeno chips came in. And a little off topic, but has any one got some good t...
Ahh ok, I thought the font of the Xeno logo on my chip looked a little problematic. So it wouldn't be a solder issue? The screen stays black when start is held down, and the game won't boot up until you reboot the console.
I'll try to flash the chip with that Xeno flashing tool aswell.
