Re: IPL settings (language and clock) are not getting saved. Battery already replaced
Uhm. What is the "plate crystal"? And what is a "smoothing pen"? I never heard these words. I googled it, but "plate crystal" returns 100% nonsense. "Smoothing pen" returns stuff regarded to smooth 3d printed ABS. I'm confused now

Re: IPL settings (language and clock) are not getting saved. Battery already replaced
Now that you say it... There are some weird looking points at the mainboard. Looks like quite some corrosion and maybe even some resistors broken.
I don't think I can fix that, I'm still pretty bad with soldering.

Re: IPL settings (language and clock) are not getting saved. Battery already replaced
OK guys, I finally found time to check further. I put the stock DVD drive back again -> still not working I tried another controller-board (had it laying around) -> not working either So either the other daugher-board I had laying around is broken, or something seems to be wrong with my mainboard. O...

IPL settings (language and clock) are not getting saved. Battery already replaced
Hi all! I just modded an old cube (DOL-001 PAL) that I had laying around with a GC-Loader. After powering it on again, I saw that I had to set language and time again. After the second reboot I noticed, that the cube is not saving these settings. So I assumed that the clock battery is dead. I got a ...

Hi GooseDaMighty! Welcome to the forum :) Does Swiss need to be on both sd cards? (Sd2sp2 card and the one In the gc loader) No, it's enough to just put it on the GC-Loader SD-Card as "boot.iso" What is the best easy to use straight forward gameboy interface to use? I now just read that th...

The supported SD card size depends on the software you use. Swiss does support large SD cards (SDXC).

Re: Hombrew web browser App for the Gamecube?
The GC Broadband Adapter is Ethernet LAN (wired, not WiFi). Also it's pretty expensive. You can't just easily upgrade the hardware (CPU, RAM) of your GC and it'll work. It's not a PC. The last thing is probably the reason, why it doesn't have a web browser.

Re: Gamecube running cant see saved games
Memory Card savepoints are region based, as far as I'm concerned. Is it possible that you're booting out-of-region games?

It's just an additional option. Maybe ebj777 doesn't have one of the exploitable games, or doesn't want to bother.

Re: Any special steps to burn a Swiss DVD?
The release 7z-archive contains ISO files for different regions. You can burn one of these and boot that. And yes, you can boot newer versions of swiss using that. So you don't have to burn a DVD everytime there's a new swiss release.

I think that guy is not selling these adapters anymore: Sadly from 26th October 2017 xillinx have discontinued the xc9500 series cpld which is used inside the shuriken usb device with no direct replacement I have decided to stop selling the devices. https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/custo...

Re: Using a WODE on Wii with Swiss
0.4 still supports wode, press Z on the device selection screen. I know, I'm actually using 0.4 for applying cheat codes on some games. I think there was either a bug, that WODE was not working or that I couldn't get the swiss ISO to autoboot. Could you go into the "Info" section of Swiss...

Re: Using a WODE on Wii with Swiss
Just to give an update for anyone looking into information on this: I use the WODE on the Wii with Swiss autoboot installed, works flawless so far. I use the same Swiss versions I have on my Game Cube. Some older 0.3 build (r174) that still supports WODE and autoboot and a newer 0.4 build (r296 on a...

Re: Mario Party 5 (GCN/WIIRD/PAL)
Hey Ralf! I was wondering if you could create a Code for Duels to happen everytime two players are on the same field, not only in the last 5 rounds, please. Like you did for Mario Party 6.

Re: Using a WODE on Wii with Swiss
@streetwalker does that support to patch in Cheat codes? Do you need to rip the isos on the wii for nintendont? I remember there was some GC ios for the Wii that forced you to put in the original disc in once for some kind of Legitimation to prevent illegal copies. Kind of lame, never wanted to both...

Re: Using a WODE on Wii with Swiss
I remember there was "wodeflow", but I never bothered, because my wode is in my GC. If I use Swiss only for GC Games (mainly to apply cheats on them) and Wodeflow for Wii games, I should be fine right? I thought Wii in GC mode is working exactly like a original GCN, isn't it? Or is there a...

Using a WODE on Wii with Swiss
Hi there, a friend of mine is getting a wode for his Wii. I'm now thinking what would be the best way to use it. The main use case is to play Gamecube games of the WODE. Maybe some Wii games too, but GC is the main goal. The Wii has no Homebrew Channel installed yet, but I'm planning to do so. I ass...
