Re: Plug and play drive replacement adapter Idea
The main draw for me to the megadrive was to be able to still have a functional DVD drive for audio streaming titles like Eternal Darkness, but also to be able to play my retail games through it when compatibility wasn't spot on with Swiss/WKF.

Unfortunate, but thanks for taking the time to confirm this nevertheless. Perhaps one day the wkf source will be opened up.

Nice! Glad to hear it emu, here's hoping there's not a limitation in the wkf itself. Games run much more smoothly through the wkf than over SD gecko

I use a desoldering braid and haven't had any issues with it. But yeah, I'd agree that using a solder sucker would be optimal

Re: Component Cable Discussion
Nice write up on your thoughts regarding the component cable. I completely agree that the component cable is worth every penny, which is why they are in such high demand these days now that most people game on an HDTV. $100 on eBay isn't that bad of a deal either, all things considered. I've seen th...

Re: Swiss 0.3
@deckard do you use the sd-gecko with gamecube, load swiss from a 2GB - sdcard and swap Sdcard like i do? I auto boot swiss through my wkf. Since I can only get swiss to read the first 64gb of the 128gb card through the wkf slot, I currently keep the 128gb card in my SD gecko. This allows me to acc...

Re: 128GB SDXC WKF Compatibility Issues
I have my card formatted properly to fat32 with 32kb clusters. It does work with the wkf, but any games stored past the first 64gb can't be read by swiss.
Haven't tried using the wbfs format since I'm on firmware 1.0 for swiss autoboot support, thus no GC menu support from the official wkf loader.

128GB SDXC WKF Compatibility Issues
Emu_kidid asked me to start a new thread on this topic, rather than discuss this in the "Swiss 0.3" thread. I finally got around to purchasing a 128GB SDXC card for use with the WKF and Swiss and have found that I'm unable to boot any games past offset 08000000 (64GB). If anyone else with ...
Re: Swiss 0.3
I've been testing a 128GB SD card and have found that Swiss v0.3 (as well as r240) can't load anything past offset 08000000 from the WKF. The highest offset I've been able to successfully boot from the WKF was 07FBE282. Not sure if this is a hardware limitation of the WKF, or something that could be...

Re: Looking for some unmasked pcb pictures
You see no difference??? Top two component shots look blurry compared to rgb from the gba tv adapter. It seemed the RGB GBA had the sharpest picture, however the overall look of the 480p component video was the best. The sharpness of the TV-Out adapter really showed the stretching from 240x160 to 6...

You can autoboot r221, you just have to remove the .fw file and flash only the .fzn from a valid autoboot setup

Yeah you can mount the WKF SD slot on the side of the cube and still keep your DVD drive intact.
